We offer comprehensive sixty-hour cyber and information security courses for the public administration, tailored to the varying baseline proficiency levels of participants. Each course follows a semester-based model, combining distance and contact learning, and culminates in certification upon the successful defence of a final project before an expert committee. For the advanced course for specialists, we also offer the option to pursue the industry-recognized CyberOps Associate certification.

We provide expert consultations and advisory services to public administration authorities on the implementation of security measures, the drafting of internal policies, and the practical application of legislative requirements. We collaborate closely with the government CSIRT unit, a part of which is physically housed on the TUKE premises, and we provide assistance to MIRRI in drafting, revising, and commenting on legislation, recommendations, and methodologies.

We conduct research in areas that are most critical to the defence capabilities of public administration: network traffic processing and evaluation, detection of fraudulent online content, automated attack detection, the use of artificial intelligence in incident analysis, deepfake content detection, and the optimisation of monitoring systems. We publish our findings in peer-reviewed proceedings and make them accessible in line with open science principles.

Within the Cyber Security Laboratory, we are building an Academic Security Operations Centre (SOC) that serves as a training environment for practical exercises in network monitoring, incident detection, and forensic analysis. This facility provides participants of our courses with the opportunity to gain experience under conditions that closely simulate the real-world environment of modern security operations. The equipment includes solutions for network data capture and processing, a virtualisation environment, measurement tools, EDR systems, and SIEM platforms.

We create methodological guides, book publications, and educational materials tailored to various target groups. For the public administration, we prepare book publications on general cyber security risks, laboratory manuals for the secure configuration of network devices and risk analysis, as well as a guide for safe internet usage. For secondary schools, we develop presentation materials for lessons and background documents for practical exercises. Webinar recordings and short educational videos are made freely available to the public.

We organise and co-organise expert conferences, seminars, workshops, and webinars that bring together the Slovak cyber security community. Four times a year, we hold public workshops focused on building awareness of digital threats. We actively participate in major expert events such as ICETA, EPI Cyber Security, and Qubit.
